Custom Tea Cozies
We are happy to make a custom tea cozies for you out of fabric you select and send to us.
Selecting a Fabric:
Choose a high quality quilter's cotton (try a quilting shop), or a decorator cotton or cotton blend. Small prints work better than large ones, and very soft fabrics do not work well at all. If in doubt, before you purchase, please mail us a small swatch and we can advise you on it's suitability. CAUTION: Geometric prints are often difficult to work with because they are not always printed straight in both directions. Check the fabric carefully before choosing a geometric print. We will choose the best complimentary cord color from our available colors, but if you have a certain color you might prefer let us know.
How Much Fabric:
Please send us 1/2 yard of your selected fabric. This will be more than enough, and does allow us to center the pattern in the best place. We return the excess fabric to you.
Pricing:
Prices include the lining (same as our standard product), a cord loop, and labor. Custom tea cozy prices are:
- standard size tea cozy -$25.95
- french press cozy - $25.95
- large tea cozy - $27.95
- personal (small) tea cozy - $23.95.
Other sizes that require custom pattern-making for larger or taller teapots will be more expensive. Tassels in place of the cord loop are also available. Additional cost will depend on the style selected. Ask for pricing (See the Designer series tea cozies for examples). Be sure to measure your teapot accurately using the Tea Cozy Sizing Guide (also listed under About Our Tea Cozies) to the left.
Shipping:
Shipping for 1 or 2 tea cozies within the USA and territories will add about $6.30, depending on your location. Additional items or other locations will be higher.
Ordering:
Custom tea cozy orders must be placed by phone. If you want additional items from the website, you may order those through the website. Please add a comment to the order to tell us you will be calling to add a custom tea cozy to the order. (This just ensures the order won't be shipped before you can call us.) The custom order will be charged to your credit card separately. We can also invoice through PayPal for custom orders.
