Gongfu porcelain teaset
Gongfu Tea set for the tea connoisseur. Beautiful ivory-white porcelain. Set includes: Teapot (3 oz.), Tea bowl (sits underneath teapot to hold excess water), Tea pitcher, 2 Aroma cups (for smelling aroma), 2 Teacups (1 oz.), and 2 Bamboo plates for serving.
Start your gongfu tea experience by selecting a fine oolong tea.
Bring several quarts of water to a full boil.
Warm teapot with boiled water, drain water into tea bowl.
Fill one-third of the teapot with tea leaves.
Fill teapot half-full with hot water, cover for a few seconds, then pour water out.
Leave the tea leaves in teapot.
*Now begin the first brew. Fill teapot with hot water to the brim.
Cover teapot and pour additional hot water over teapot to keep it warm while steeping.
Warm teacups and aroma cups with hot water, then pour out.
Steep tea for 30 seconds, pour all of the tea into the pitcher. Pour tea into aroma cups. Each guest will receive a plate with an aroma cup of tea and an empty teacup. Guests pour tea into teacup and then enjoy the residual aroma in the aroma cup. Sip the tea and enjoy. For a second infusion, repeat steps starting at the *, and add 10 seconds to the steeping time. Enjoy up to 5 infusions, adding 15 seconds for each additional steeping.
